Recalls are usually for safety issues that could potentially harm consumers, but okay ;)

I have 3 Apple products that work well and reliably via the Kizashi's USB port.
They are:
- iPod Nano (6th generation)
- iPod Touch (3rd generation)
- iPhone 5

The Touch and iPhone have Bluetooth capabilities and also stream music well to the Kizashi's Bluetooth audio system.

Given my luck with these Apple products with the Kizashi's Rockford Fosgate audio system, I'd first make sure that the iPod connector cable is not defective.

The Bluetooth is convenient, but not better for audio quality. I notice much better sound via USB than with Bluetooth, especially with bass.
The only time I really use Bluetooth to stream my music is when I'm also using the iPhone to navigate. This way, the iPhone's nav's voice commands come through the music and fade out. Otherwise, I'm always listening through USB.
