So my battery died and I removed it for about 2 hours until the replacement came in. Once hooked up I noticed 2 things different. First, when coming to a stop there is barely a drop in rpm's unlike before when it felt like it was going to stall. Second, the transmission seemed to keep rpm's up when initially accelerating instead of dropping to the low point. The trans also seems much smoother. Odd but I am happy.

I have a feeling the car will probably go back to its old ways once the computer relearns a few things, but maybe not.

I also think it's a PCM relearn that's the factor here. Hopefully, it will relearn a different way to avoid the issues of the past.

I'll write up something in another topic thread since you asked. That way, this thread does not go off topic.

Interesting that an ECU reset solved the RPM drop, even if temporary. Wonder what the ECU does to cause it in the first place... I'm guessing it's related to the fuel injector cut off during coasting
