I'm typically in traffic conditions that fluctuate in speed too much for me to stay in 6th at speeds like that. While it may not lug, it sure won't accelerate well until you downshift.

"Accelerate Well" is somewhat situation specific. Occasionally, I'm not in any hurry to get up to speed or have no dire need to pass the cars in the other lanes.

It's not overly stressful on the power train to accelerate in 6th from like 45 up to 75 mph in the CVT is it? I've never really thought about it, but I've heard its not good for transmissions.

I didn't realize that 1 UK gallon = 1.2009 US gallons. That's good to know.

Kinda like the distance between 1 mile and 1 nautical mile.

I cruise around town in Miami in 6th gear at 30-40 mph all the time, getting like 40mpg. If I need to accelerate quickly, that's what 3rd or 4th gear is for. Hypermile it when you don't need speed. But yeah, doing like 3k rpm at 80mph usually. A little buzzy, but that's what the RF stereo is for right ? However, that's not an option on the S 6MT. I drove the S 6MT. I don't recommend it. The GTS/SLS (if you can ever find a 6MT SLS) are the way to go if you're going for the manual. Unless of course you plan to turn your S into a project car and trick it out with better suspension and tires.

to add insult to injury, I filled the SX4 today from dead empty to spill-a-little-on-the-ground full for $25... 8-)

The Sport models (MY 2011+ GTS and SLS) have different shocks and springs. The suspension height was reduced 10mm.

I didn't know that. Thanks Kuro.

One more reason I'm looking for a 6MT GTS/SLS instead of just any 6MT Kizashi, I guess.

I thought the sport model came out in 2011 or 2012. I have a 2010 base S 6MT that I thought was mechanically the same as a GTS. Not true?
