Short for "Technical Service Bulletin". Means Suzuki is aware that they f-ed something up in the original design of a component, and it's enough of a safety hazard that they will fix it in your car for free.paininthenuts wrote:Sorry, what is TSB ?

Atlantic Canadian here.
My shocks recently went just shy of 50,000kms.
The dealership gladly replaced them as I am still within the 60,000km warranty.
However, I am now at 55,000kms and just yesterday I heard the awful noise coming from the rear of my car again... Not too pleased.
Looks like I'll be bringing it in again and I'll bring a copy of that TSB as well.

Did they replace both sides the first time?diamondz21 wrote:Atlantic Canadian here.

My 2010 Kizzy has been a garage kept baby. The first two winters it was not driven at all. Even today if it rains or the roads are muddy it stays nestled in the garage and I drive my other car, my designated winter driver. This summer I ordered the new bumper stops and installed them. Since the Kizzy has been spoiled the shock stems where clear of rust except for one slight spot that I rubbed with a emory cloth lightly to remove any trace of rust. We have our share of humidity here in Michigan.nytq wrote:Just curious how many keep their kizzy garaged at night. Is there any connection with the shock failure/humidity and being kept in a garage.

To be honest, I couldn't really tell the difference with the old and new shocks. The rod definitely started to have rust on it due to the old design, but I didn't really notice much driving difference.
If your shock is truly blown, it will be really bad. But if it's just starting to rust, I wouldn't be too alarmed. I know the sound may be annoying, but so will be trying to get a bankrupt company to cover a product under warranty.

With 150,000 miles on your Kizashi, yes, I'd say you're very optimistic.WESHOOT2 wrote:I'm gonna be looking into a Suzuki-paid fix......

Point of Clarification: I forgot to add "if your vehicle is still under warranty", and I can't go back and edit my old post.KansasKid wrote:Short for "Technical Service Bulletin".
