It's the leak detection pump. Most new vehicles have it now. From the owner's manual:
LEAK DETECTION PUMP

Your vehicle has a pump to regularly check the vehicle's evaporative emission control system for leaks. This check is performed approximately 5 hours after the engine is turned off. During this leak check, you may hear a sound coming from the vehicle for several minutes. This sound is normal and does not indicate a malfunction.
Learned something new about the Kizashi--or maybe I already knew about this because I seem to remember it from another thread. I'm aging--oh well!

Not necessarily today, but to catch up on what I have been doing over the last couple of weekends:

Replaced dome lights, map lights, trunk light, vanity mirror lights, licence plate bulbs (what a pain!), door courtesy lights and position light bulbs all with LEDs.

Fog lights replaced with Yellow Optilux Xenons

High beams replaced with Yellow Optilux Xenons

Also just installed front and rear set of Weather Tech floor mats on Monday (Love them already). Today just purchased a trunk floor liner these which should come in next week.

Very nice lighting setup! Are those bulbs available in the US? (I don't know where you're from.)

They're on Amazon for $25. I think his original post has a link

Cool. I'll look for it. 8-)

Checked the battery terminals for corrosion--none found. Noticed part of the silver paint on the "S" on the engine cover has come off. :(

Relearned TPMS again with my wife watching the light to make sure it stayed on for 5 seconds indicating re-learn was complete.

Drove home in the worst most harrowing experience since our first snow experience with the stock Dunlops last year. But awd + great snow tires kept us safe.

More details:
Snow had fallen a few days ago, but was cleared pretty quickly. Roads were pretty close to normal for winter. Then, we got this hard freeze from -20+ windchills for 2 days, which ended right when 2-4 inches of snow was going to dump on us. Well, this dumping started around 11am when everyone was at work thinking the worst was behind us.

Within hours, every interstate was clogged, and for some reason the city didn't plow downtown like they did last year for storms like this. So there was all this snow and people trying to go up hills and the like in fwd with no snow tires. Cars sliding all over the place, having to turn around, backing traffic up, not stopping--a real mess. I saw this and took some routes that most people didn't dare try--up slopes covered in snow and stop sign filled streets.

It's in weather like this that the awd and snow tire combo are a NECESSITY. I don't care what the local yahoos think about this being overkill--their bashed up cars show that they don't know how get around safe in the winter.

Only issue we had was the lower part of the windshield turning to ice, so the wipers would hit it. Even the defrost didn't help that, and may have made it worse. Breaking that ice off with a scraper was easy, but you had to do it every 30 minutes if you were out in this stuff for a long time.

Washed my car, much needed before the actual winter weather moves in. Drove to car meet where people showed off Corvettes, Mustangs, a Lotus Elise, and a Ferrari 430--- mmmm. Fixed my previous DD after an accident back in November for inspection. Planning on driving that when the ugly weather hits.

Dirty to clean wheels. Night and day!

My wife reminds me of how much our car needs a good wash. Too bad there's not a single self-wash place that I've found in MKE. :o

I want to go to a car meet soooo bad!!! I haven't been to one in years and I used to live my life around them.
