My Kizashi seems like it is really cranking slowly when I start it on cold mornings.
At 25 degrees it seems like it may not start the cranking is so slow.
Is the Kizashi battery poor quality to begin with? Have others had to replace their batteries after only a few years? In all the other cars I've had the batteries lasted the entire time I owned them. Hate to think I going to buy a new battery to replace one less than three years old.
Battery seems weak
I find that OE batteries are just not as good as high quality aftermarket ones. I've heard of many OE batteries in all kinds of cars going out after around 3 years (conveniently after the BTB warranty is up). I can tell you that some OE batteries are even physically smaller than their aftermarket replacements. That was the case in my Mazda3.Sluggo wrote:My Kizashi seems like it is really cranking slowly when I start it on cold mornings.

If I were you, I'd get a replacement at Costco (assuming you're a member). They now carry Interstate Batteries and my local Costco has the battery spec'ed for the Kizashi in stock. The last Interstate battery I owned in my Impreza lasted all 9 years/100,000+ miles I drove that car in both frequent alpine and desert climates. Hence, I'll be getting another one when the time comes for the Kizashi.

Replaced mine last spring for the same reason. If you wait long enough, all kinds of strange things will start happening in these cars due to poor battery condition. Many threads pointing to this fact. Be proactive, bite the bullet and replace it. The OE battery is just not that good.

Sweet! Interstate batteries are awesome. I'll have to check if Costco Canada has them...KuroNekko wrote: If I were you, I'd get a replacement at Costco (assuming you're a member).
