Took it to the mountains (hills) of the Berkshires today. Lots of dirt/snow/mud laden roads. It did pretty damn amazing for a FWD on budget Douglas Performance all seasons (read: Kelly Springfield) tires. AWD is probably amazing on this chassis. Averaged 32 MPG through my romping.

18K miles to date, no issues.

Last winter, I commented that I didn't really feel the AWD do anything, even in the snow. Now, it's the complete opposite. The AWD system is way more sensitive and I can feel the rear wheels pushing a lot more, even in dry conditions. This is especially noticeable when accelerating from a standstill: FWD mode feels like you're being pulled and the car squats back while AWD mode feels like you're being pushed from behind and the car remains flatter.

It feels incredible and I never want to drive in FWD mode now :D

Maybe the AWD controller is programmed for a break in period? I did just rolled over 15k km (hence the fluid change).
Pretty cool!

Found an original Suzuki oil filter tool that I'm going to pick up locally. What's amazing is all the Suzuki Marine parts places seem to carry it.

Okay, the dashboard glare is driving me insane. My current file requires that I drive 100km east in the morning, then the same way back west near the end of the day. The reflection off the dashboard when facing the sun is so bad that it actually impairs my vision! I don't know what to do as I don't use any products on the dashboard and I keep my windshield clean

Unfortunately, I think you're going to need one of those fuzzy (ugly) dashpads. I think carid had them for the Kizashi.

That's no good, especially on that long commute you have.

But I did look into them just to see how ugly they were and I actually found an OEM one from Suzuki Australia:

And the DashMat velour one:
