Like a Jetta...I personally don't believe so..maybe a little bit more like an A4. I just used 1 coat of Black Pasti dip, 2 coats of True Metalic Silver Plasti-Dip and 1 coat of Silver Metalizer plasti dip..I am too scared to paint the grill with a permenant paint. I wanted to have the outlines in chrome...but that is not really duable.

Went to another car meet today. Had a few people take pictures of it and even a couple ask for more info about it. Notable mentions, a guy driving a Boxter Spyder asked to sit in it and was pleased with the space and comfort inside as well as the exterior styling. A WRX guy also wanted a bit more info on it since he was not familiar with it. Overall good day.
I spent half of my lazy Memorial Day doing 90K service on the Kizzy. Oil/Filter Chg, Coolant Chg, Original Drive Belt Chg, Original Brake Pad Change, Cabin Filter Chg, Wiper Insert Chg, Tire Rot. Brake Pads still had significant pad although quite crusty at contact points, and I was experiencing more pulsating on heavy use, so probably a good time to change out. New Akebonos are nice and smooth. Drive Belt looked new still. No leaks. The drive belt was the most inconvenient to replace of all items done but still not too bad. In all this car still amazes me for the simplicity in mechanical design and ease of service.

Does the belt tensioner have a design for a standard wrench to hold it for releasing tension? How about a hole for a pin to hold it open? VW Jettas have both and it makes changing the belt rather easy so I was wondering about the Kizashi.nytq wrote:I spent half of my lazy Memorial Day doing 90K service on the Kizzy. It is a standard metric bolt. No pin hole from what I could see and the service manual doesn't mention a whole either. From the wheel well you push up on your wrench as if trying to screw clockwise then the pulley moves up. Of course there not a lot of clearance between the bolt and the chassis so you may need a combo wrench. I happened to have high tech craftsman socket that did not take up too much room, LOL that just happen to fit. I'm embarrassed to say I don't remember now if it was 12, 14 or 15mm. It is a bit tricky trying to keep the tension on the pulley and maneuver the belt into place.
