Hello,

I have a 2010 Suzuki Kizashi and love the car. Have owned for 3-4 months. My only problem is the USB and XM Radio buttons do not work from steering wheel or the dash. When pressing the USB and XM Radio buttons nothing happens at all. When I scroll through the media inputs from steering wheel the USB or XM radio does not show up. Need a fix, also is there an AUX input 3.5 jack located anywhere on the car?

If there is a fix please let me know.

Thanks in advance

For the XM button to work, you need to have the satellite radio equipment installed and/or have a subscription to the service. If not, it does nothing which is what my XM button does too.

For the USB button to work, you need to have something plugged into the USB port which should be in the center console box directly under the HVAC controls for a North American model. Without a thumb drive or USB-connected audio device like an iPod inserted into the USB port, the button does nothing.

No, the stereo does not have a 3.5mm jack but that's rather obsolete technology these days. After all, that's an analog input when the Kizashi's stereo is designed for multiple digital inputs. My GTS can even stream audio via Bluetooth from my iPhone while simultaneously running my iPhone's navigation with voice commands through the speakers. With that capability available, old tech like an aux jack is really obsolete.

Thanks for your reply Nekko,

Well I tried to plug in and Iphone 3gs, iphone 4, and flash drive with music on it and it did nothing. The iphone didn't recognize the input and my flash drive didn't even light up so now I doubt power is even coming through the usb port. Is that common for usb port not to work or have you or anyone else ever had the same problem.

Just put some music on a memory stick and plug it in. I am sure it will work. If you want to play music from your phone, this can be done via bluetooth

Sounds like your USB port is broken. I've had issues with the USB port housing falling into the console but the port itself always works. Some others have had issues with the port however. Try to see if any of the pins are damaged in the USB port. If so, you can try to fix or replace the USB port and cable entirely.

Given you have an SE, I don't think you have Bluetooth audio streaming like the GTS and SLS with the Rockford Fosgate system without the navigation.
