Good job getting the S off the lid.Marcov71 wrote:Project for the day done. Extremely simple. I think it looks good!

It's a good conversation starter. "What kind is that?"
Went to the wheel shop today... He had not heard of the car, he said, scratching his head. Hahah!
Since I bought the car in July, I haven't had the chance to test it on snow and ice yet. You guys who have... How is it?
I know what Subaru can do. Is there a big difference?
I burn the gas, Prius owners save.

In the UK you have to inform your insurance company if you do this. A good few years ago I knew of someone who put a "GT" badge on a VW Golf, for appearance only. When he had an accident the insurance company would not pay out, as they considered it an unregistered change to the car.TheHolyGhost wrote:Has anyone debadged their Kizashi yet? If so do you have any pictures? I'm just curious about how it will look.

Here is my front and back... added chrome strip on mirrors and in the rear...added ''sport'' badge and removed ''S'' and ''Suzuki'' in the back. A lot of people ask me ''what kind of car is that? Audi, Mercedes, Lexus?'' when I am in town or at the car wash!
PS I had 2 Audi Quattro prior to this AWD beast...yes it is a beast in the snow/ice. Even better than the Quattro system..I cannot compare it to the Subaru AWD system, but some people on forums say they tested both and it is hard to determine which one is better!

I wonder how the insurance company knew the "GT" was added. Did they have visual evidence that the silly plastic lettering was not on the car at the time the insurance was purchased. I highly doubt it. Sounds more like yet another sneaky practice by an insurance company not to pay out. Do they consider a parking pass sticker a "unregistered change"????paininthenuts wrote:In the UK you have to inform your insurance company if you do this. The VIN identifies every aspect of a vehicle. It can be burned to a crisp and they'll know everything about it from the VIN plate/stampings.

I must not be aware of something here. How can a VIN identify what bages you have put on or removed from a car. If your dealer puts a badge on, who if anyone would have an official record of that?Ronzuki wrote:The VIN identifies every aspect of a vehicle. First, I might suggest you review the thread titled "114 days". It chronicles the ownership experience of one crazy driver

And yes, I have extensive experience with both the Kizashi and many Subarus, and I prefer the Kizashi.
Twice.
