2010 SE for parts

Hi Guys,

I am a new member but have red and enjoyed this forum for last 2 years we had joy to drive Kizashi.
We got the car through dealer, in 2013 with 55K on it. The car has fantastic handling when AWD is activated and it did prove to be very stable and nice to drive in difficult road conditions. I gave the car, when it was 82K to my son to drive between Staten Island and StonyBrook NY where he goes to college.

I have changed read struts ($800), battery ($80), tires ($470), break pads and rotors, and number of times front bulbs. Did change oil in CVT at 60K, it was done on Mazda dealer ($500) and installed aftermarket GPS headunit .
For the rest car has been proven to be dependable.

Now i am waiting on tow track to bring the car back home. It has failed yesterday - with high knocking sound in engine - looks like rode related and is being towed back home...


Looking at it's current KBB value (around 4.6K) and factoring in possibility of replacing engine i am tending to think of selling it for parts and recovering at least some money toward the new one. Fixing this one would cost 2.5K just to swat the engine to one of eBay. Also, right passanger dor and front right side is being damaged by hitting a deer, so it would take another 1000K to fix and repaint. I don't think it makes much sense to spend 3.5k to get the car back on track when the car is itself is below 4.6K value... Also, there is some sound in rear suspencion to check, etc.

Seems like it is time to say goodbay and thanks for serving for this very nice, one of a kind car. Love its style and the way it drives...

CVT works fine, engine starts, but the sound doesn't suggests it is safe to drive, all electronics and stuff works fine.

Any interest in buying if for parts - let me know please - igroruch at gmail. Car will be in SI this afternoon, parked in driveway.
I think i would let it go for 1.5K.

Hey,

I did get attached to the idea that went into engineering of this baby. Take a sound and click that the driver door makes when gets locked - it sounds like a solid peace of engineering mind play. I loved this car, especially the fact that very few people have ever seen it around the City - makes driving it as special aesthetic pleasure, while the car still looks quite modern and self styled, also nicely balanced.
Lovely car, perhaps you all, members, love it too, otherwise would not be coming back to this forum.

I can send it to junk at any point, but would prefer to sell it cheep for some parts to those who need them. Who still has enough value in the price of their own Kizash to fix and go another mile in it.

Many parts are like brand new still - all the interior, seats, left side doors, windows etc, electronic, wheels have only 18K on them, cvt, lights etc. Only radio, wired to Kizashi, for let say 250 would let go with backup camera etc. Frame was never damaged - so you put 2K in engine swap and car runs again. Also, body needs some attention, but fixable so...

Any way, this is a car a loved to drive, so if there is a need for parts, would be glad to make them available. Staten Island, NY

Whoa, that is very tempting. I have a 6sp Kiz so the cvt trans doesn't really appeal to me, but as far as parts go, head and tail lights are probably hard to come by.

What tires on the wheels? I might be interested in making a taller winter set as the wife doesn't like how the car lowers on the current set.

Also, show the front grill and such as those parts are hard to find as well. What head unit and speakers does it have? The steering wheel is probably a nice upgrade to other Suzuki marques that some with non-leather.
