RS350 wrote: Thanks again guys for you inputs. I am currently negotiating the price with the dealer. He is asking for $14,995 Canadian. Plus there is a small crack in one of the tail lights. I've asked him to replace it and he'll check tomorrow how much will the tail light cost. Its not a big thing, only a small piece of the outer plastic of the tail light is broken. The light works fine and its not even noticeable easily, I just want to have a clean car when I drive out of the dealership. Would you guys know how much will one tail light cost?

Lets see how much I can bring him down to tomorrow.
Much appreciate all your help.
A tail light costs $248.50 USD on Monsterfactoryparts.com.

You'll definitely want to negotiate this because if you deal with snow a lot, you'll want a properly sealed housing for the lights.

Make an offer of 13 000 and explain that is all you can pay and leave the dealership. They will probably make a counter offer of 14 500. Offer 13 500 as a final offer and I think they will accept it.

I would ask about the rear brakes. It doesn't seem to affect all of them but there are quite a few reports of the rear, driver's side brake wearing out prematurely. Mine certainly did, at around 20K miles. Definitely not a reason to not buy a Kizashi, but something to check so you aren't stuck replacing them a month or two after you purchase.

Tell the dealer something like 14k out the door. They'll agree with things like 14500 or 15000 because they rape you in taxes etc. ALso wouldn't be bad idea to go to a bank you trust you know you will use for a car loan (if getting one) and ask them to pull up what the set price for the vehicle should be based on its mileage color and options etc. I'm not sure if you guys have KBB up there or NADA but wouldn't hurt because then you can take that paper in and show them what the car's value is compared to what they're asking

And sold for $12,850 Canadian. Out of the door for $14,130. I had to pay two taxes of total 10%. He also gave a new tail light in this price. Seems like a good deal.
Went for a drive today, felt wonderful. Really enjoyed driving my new Kiz.

Thanks guys for all your inputs. Really helped me decide in buying the car and in price negotiation. Much appreciate it.

Congrats! I don't think you'll regret the decision. The Kizashi is a fine car just in bad circumstances.

Congratulations!

I hope you enjoy your Kizashi as much (or even close to) as I've enjoyed, and continue to enjoy, mine.
