I think we can all agree that quality isn't like it used to be for anything....I mean heck 02 civic apparently.has been in 2 accidents before mine which were strangely not.on the car fax when I bought it, but it's now at 260k miles with a few things replaced. Still original engine, and catty and less rust underneath then my dad's 09.

Even Hondas quality has stated to go down I've noticed. I test drove one of the new civics with the turbo...even for a drive by wire it had laggy acceleration guy tried telling me it's because the car was still warming up....funny because the temp gauge was nominal and it was sitting out in 93 degree heat all day.

And as far as that maxima goes I preferred it over.the altima.for.the way it rode and drove. And I belive some of the features may not be in the altima but.haven't looked that far yet.

Given all the right circumstances (still unknown to me) the car can, and has, taken off remarkably fast from a near stop. It's nothing I can replicate since it always seems to have been an after-the-fact..."wow, giddy up, that was quick".

Agreed. It's like there's some magic sweet spot with the way you depress the throttle or something. I occasionally get that great launch too, and the rest of the time it just seems to fall on its face the whole way.

With the manual, you can get some pretty decent launches rather reliably. With the Traction Control turned off, you can really get it off the line rather quickly and chirp the tires even in second gear.
The thing I like best about the Kizashi is that it's fun to drive but isn't an uncomfortable and noisy car like most sport compacts. It's also very affordable unlike luxury sports sedans that offer both performance and refinement. It's not the best at any one given thing, but it blends different characteristics pretty well, especially for its price point.
