Since I am an active member of reddit, I asked there first. Then I remembered this forum existed, and now I'm here.
I have put a lot of miles on my 2010 kizashi in the last 2 months. I have driven to North Carolina from upstate New York twice and back. Then drove around the adirondacks yesterday. About 2-3 hours into the trip yesterday I noticed my car was a little louder than normal and it was running a little rough. A couple times while stopping and going down hills while braking, the RPM's wouldn't go down, they would stay around 2000rpm, until I came to a full stop. The last thing I noticed was a sacking noise, kind of like a vacuum. Which kind of makes me think there is a vacuum leak.
If it is a vacuum leak, how would go about figuring out where it's leaking? I haven't been able to find the schematics for the engine any where.
Thank you.
Loud noise coming from engine/ running rough
You didn't mention what the "louder" sounded like.
In the old days, I used to spray carb cleaner around the vacuum hoses one at a time. When the engine smoothed out I knew I had found my leak. I'd look for an obvious disconnect or break as well.
