Any Japanese Super Blue coolant will work as they are really all the same.shekoski wrote:Hi, do you know how many gallons of coolant do I need for an entire coolant flush? I'm a little worried because it looks like coca-cola and it's almost empty. I'm going to use mitsubishi super long life coolant (premium).n8dogg wrote:Performed 90k mile maintenance. Oil, filters and rotated tires per usual plus first time coolant flush. Did it myself, as well as replaced thermostat and radiator cap. The manual doesn't call for replacing the thermostat and cap, just experiences from previous cars. I did test the cap on a pressure tester and it was about 4 PSI different from the new cap.
Yup. It seems counter-intuitive at first until you realize things about snow, even from personal experience. Snow itself is quite grippy and picks itself up very well. It's why we roll a little snow ball around on more snow to make a big one. I also like to walk on fresh snow given it's often better for traction over ground that's been previously walked on or even shoveled. Fresh snow is unlikely to also have ice on it. Ice is the thing that really challenges traction and in the most demanding situations, you need more than rubber to grip into it rather than just on it. Having lived on a mountain a mile high, the winters sometimes demand chains and cables to provide that extra grip on ice, especially on hills.LPSISRL wrote:Learned something interesting I never knew about all season and snow tires. The objective of the tread is to hold snow not expel it as snow-on-snow provides pretty good traction.
