Memory Seat

have a brand new 2011 GTS Kizashi. Can't get the seat to remember my setting. I hold M then the number. It beeps. move the seat, press 1, and it doesn't move. My buddy has the SAME car, tried the same procedure in his, works perfect. Any ideas?

Put the car in park, pull the ebrake.

Yeah I know for sure it has to be in park not sure about ebrake.

I've caught myself a couple times I'll hop in the car after my wife(short) and press my number but then put it in reverse before the seat fully moves causing it to stop partial way.

I didn't pull the e-brake to set memory

You do mean you are pressing and holding the M AND the number at the same time right?

Confirmed - has to be in park before you can select a position from memory. Thanks for the help
