5/14/2020 125,781 miles, got the oil changed.

Finally.
Looked over its underneath; both shocks blown, rear sway bar bushings can no longer be considered as such, front end links shot, flex pipe damaged.
Awaiting price estimate.

Well it's a start.

Rear shocks
Rear sway bar bushings
Front end-links

And then it needs:

rear brakes = calipers/pads/rotors
battery
front struts
flex-pipe
two 'summer' tires and mounting the lightweights (stock wheels cost me 1--3MPG)
spark plugs
filters
fluids

Good thing the shop is only .9 miles from the house, AND 10% discount for cash!

Work done:

-rear shocks
-rear way bar bushings
-front end links

VERY FIRST THOUGHT as I pulled away: "Man these factory wheels feel heavy".
And then I drove it more.

The silence.....no longer the incessant rattling of the rear bar.....back end feels firm (this is a non-sexual judgement about my car, but also applies to wife).....front end feels 'older'.....man them wheels/tires is heavy.....better, but something ain't right.
I'd had to pull the light Enkies 'cause I balded the fronts again; the Blizzaks. Rears good enough for another year, fronts to steel belt protrusion. Didn't matter before because I was driving so slow. Ordering a couple new cheapies ASAP, and then we'll see how she dances. The stockers dull the dance.

Almost sounds poetic...

So I just spent the last however many mins reading EVERY PAGE of this thread while listening to stand-up on YouTube. (Nick DePaulo "A Breath Of Fresh Air", and it was BRUTALLY HONEST, and FUGGIN HILARIOUS!) And I don't know what made me laugh or smile more.. lol Great stuff. THREE-HUNDRED-SOME-THOUSAND MILES though, WESHOOT2. So cool. #ZukiPowa!

I'm right around where your third Kizurai is on mileage now too. Currently riding on ONE shock as of this week since I managed to break the bolt head off of the rear right shock housing. Going to drill it and use an extractor to remove that sucker tomorrow, HOPEFULLY. Guess I should consider replacing my sway bar bushings while I'm fixing rear shocks.

THANKS FOR THE GOOD POSTS though, everybody.
2012 KIZASHI Sport SLS ...currently riding on Rial Como wheels for the winter, size 17x7. & Speedline (thin 5 spoke, C5 Corvette) wheels for the summer time, staggered. :drive:
