Just got my 2011 Silver Kizzy back from the Suzuki. The paint job was perfect. And even more important, Suzuki of America and my dealer were absolutely amazing during the process. I'm really shocked how well they all handled this after hearing some of the other horror stories out there. I hope you all can get the same kind of service.

Congrats! I wish the same for all with the same problem! The Kiz is too good looking to suffer from car acne.

The quote I had I believe is for the chipped area, and blending with the panels around it, not the whole car. I thought it was pretty high, but if Suzuki is paying, I'll take it (and expect a really good paint job from the shop). The shop doing the work is not directly tied to the dealership (subcontracted out) so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. The kiz goes in on Tuesday :).

I have noticed the paint chip problem on my 2010 SE AWD ( with a VERY low serial number ) and called the Suzuki hotline. The woman who answered was very courteous, listened to my issue, gave me a reference number, promised that they would contact the dealership directly, and told me that, after they had inspected the car, that they would most likely repaint the damaged areas. I can accept a manufacturing defect if they are willing to follow up as nicely as they handled me on the phone.

Just got off the phone with my service manger. He told me that after speaking with the district manager, looks like Suzuki Canada will be able to repair the rock chip on my car. Not sure how they are going to fix it, they will give me a call again on Thurs. Here's a phone of the rock chips on my car. The car is sitting at 2800km.

Finally got an appt to have my car looked at. Suzuki told me they wanted the dealer to look at it first then they would get a rep involved if they needed too. The dealer told me they looked like rock chips, which they are...but that he wasn't going to make the call as to whether or not it was the paint. Guess I gotta call Suzuki back...the service manager at my Suzuki shop is an idiot...I haven't liked him from day one. They said the Suzuki rep in their area doesn't like him either...lovely.

I have 13 chips in the hood and the lower bumper looks sand blasted. I have the chips in the door jams like everyone else and even one on the lip of the trunk. BS!

I have only had my Kizashi for about six months and just got my hood, left and right fenders painted due to paint chipping off... The dealer ship was very nice and polite about it... brought it up there and they fixed everything... I am pleased with the car and the dealership... So Far...

Suzuki corp seems to be the way to go to make things happen. At one point the dealer was rushing me out of the shop just because they didn't want to pay for the stupid Hyundai Accent they gave me as a loaner. Suzuki did a threeway call with me and the dealer. Problem resolved in minutes. The dealer did take care of the paint. BUT IN THE PROCESS BROKE SOME RETAINING TABS IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT, AND RIPPED THE FACING ON THE HOOD INSULATOR, AND SPRAYED SOME PAINT ON MY WINDSHIELD. Make sure to due a thorough inspection before you leave. I didn' even notice this till the following weekend and honestly I'm already tired of dealing with them. I just want to enjoy my car. In the end it gave me an excuse to do another engine compartment mod. I'm going to cover the insulator in aluminized cloth. I think that's going to really add some bling LOL, oh and protection. I'll post pics when I'm all done. Although seems like just when I'm done I think of something else LOL. This can be very addictive.

Litterally 1 week to the day I picked up the car from the body shop, a huge 3-4mm chip appeared. It figures the day I forget to put the mask back on a truck towing a backhoe littering the highway with pebbles is right in front of me this morning. UGH! This car definitely has finish issues. I'm no expert, but I think it has something to do with the primer or basecoat not adhearing to the paint well, or vice versa. It never happened like this on any other car I've owned. And most of them were cheap cars, go figure. Take hede, protect your front end. Oh, and for those of you, like me trying to touchup the inperfections, the metallic silver is a real B***TCH to get right. I've had the car 2 months to the day, I hate to imagine what it will look like in a couple of years. It's a real disappointing shame. Still love it, but a real shame.
