not good at all.
I think you are #3 to need a new trany for the kizashi.
I hope you get fixed up.
Having major probelm with my Kizzy

I'm not sure what the problem is the same trany is used by several other car manufactures. The kizashi is the only one that sends power to all four wheels though.
The other two case also had nothing to do with driving habits. In all cases so far the car was being used at high speed typically on cruise control.

Anyone notice what these two transmission failures had in common???
The Pennsylvania Turnpike!!! By the way, this road is where I developed some noises from the interior of my car.
Piece of crap road. (I can say this because I live near it)

My Caliber also uses the JF011E, and it is also AWD. 46K miles without skipping a beat.Moto wrote:I'm not sure what the problem is the same trany is used by several other car manufactures. The kizashi is the only one that sends power to all four wheels though.

Kumar, yours sounds similar to mine. Did you notice a 'whining' noise coming form the front of the car? Increased with rpm's?

@Blackbelt....
I noticed engine sounding a little louder when I tried to accelerate it. I did not pay attention to RPM. Slowly speed dropped to less than 50mph and at that point I just thought it is safe pull off the highway.
This morning, took it to dealership and explained the problem.......got a call around noon and dealer says everything seems ok with the car....however, a recall for the belt tensioner was due which they completed. hope this runs well now....It drove back fine from dealership which involves a small stretch of highway driving on I 95....
Thanks guys for concern.....

OK, got my Kizzy back today. Seems to be all better so far.
The repair invoice shows a P0721 code. Output speed sensor i believe.
Hopefully this is an isolated case and not a trend. I really love my Kizzy, but now i have to rebuild my trust in it. If a car leaves me stranded on the road, i usually get rid of it, i kinda take that shit personally i guess. But i have had 2 cars do that in the last 6 weeks. My Caliber in april, and now my kizzy. I dont want to get rid of either one.
I will drive it and see what happens i guess.

Its getting even more exciting.....after dealer said nothing wrong with the car I drove it this weekend again to Penn state and back to Philly....~450 miles....car behaved fine...no trouble at all...although I always feel my initial acceleration is bit heavy...it may be characteristic of CVT...but I am not sure because this is the only CVT I have ever driven....however, to my surprise got a call from dealership this morning and they informed me that American Suzuki has recommended a new transmission for my car and they expect it to arrive in a week time....I guess a new transmission so early will certainly affect resale prospects of this car....comments and suggestions are welcome....
