2 separate incidents twice i was saved by the phenomenal brakes and the sharp handling, never lost control of the car. ABS was fully on for the second incident.
1. 2 lane road, i was in the right lane there was a car in the left lane waiting to turn, lady in an escalade didnt even consider that there could be a car obstructed from view by the car turning left and just went to turn left.
2. Guy in a truck feigned lane change when i was a distance away and I thought it was because he saw me moving faster than him, but as my car was passing his he merged basically on top of me and pushed me out of my lane. Luckily the car in the far right lane was smart and could brake (so he didnt rear end me) but i was pushed halfway into the far right lane. And this jackass just drives away, so i actually chased him down and stopped in the middle of the road to yell at his atrocious driving.
anyways rant of the day. great car, saved me twice
Kizzy saved my life twice today
Good to hear about those saves! For many people, there is a false sense of security in a "big" vehicle, but as you just experienced it, the best way to be safe in an accident is to avoid the accident in the first place, and to do so, the car needs to deliver! Wasn't there a BMW add that has this message?
While I haven't been in a situation like yours yet, knowing that the Kizashi can stop in a dime and outhandle many situations is true piece of mind. The brakes have ferocious bite, I am surprised the magazines didn't praise them more. I usually give good space to the vehicle in front of me, but that is as cushion for the dummies behind me, as I can brake violently as I please and use the space in front of me to avoid being rear ended.
So for me also, the true sense of security is knowing that your car will be there when you truly need it, and that means avoiding the accident as much as possible. And in the case where you have the accident, let's not forget 8 airbags and 2014 crash ready

I was in similar situation the second day after having my brand new kizashi. Thanks for the brakes it saved me from an accident.I was able to stop quick and not hit the car in front just by one or two feet. But the car behind me had to run into the emergency line and went to a ditch.

That actually is the thing that scares me. I try to moderate my braking to prevent the people behind me from ramming me.
