TSB on SLS audio system
Dang! I just checked it out and it has been off
My husband said he turned it off as soon as we got the car because he hates that feature too. I hesitate going to the dealer again for another issue since I have already been once for the paint but it looks like I'm going to have to...and the closest one is 2 1/2 hours away. My blinker keeps on messing up too. It stays on even though it has moved back to the neutral (I guess you would call it that) position. It usually corrects itself after like 4 or 5 more blinks but it is still annoying nonetheless. I love my car, I just wish it would stop acting up.

That's too bad. Maybe have him double check that it is off. Check the Warranty info that came with the car. It has state-by-state regulations. Check your state and see what it says. Iowa has a "lemon law" that states if the car does not live up to advertised you have certain rights. It sounds like you have too many gremlins for this to be considered "normal"... maybe you can get them to swap you out a new one?aragon20 wrote:Dang! Best of luck to you, this kind of stuff sucks all the fun out of getting a new ride.

Check that... mine started doing it again with the AVC turned off. It's done it on the radio, CD and MP3 playback. I just got off the phone with Suzuki of America and the gal there said she had "no reported issues" of this. I told her I have read on a forum that a few owners are having the same issue, all with the SLS RF audio system. She said I have to reproduce the problem with a dealer tech present, then they will have to figure it out. I said I called because I wanted to know if it's just an amp thing because I DO NOT want them tearing my dash apart. She wasn't much help, but I did get a case number started, which is important to do.
Would the OP of this thread please let us know if the amp swap worked or not? I too believe it is an amp issue because it only happens when I have it up louder. I can live with it until I find out if the amp swap works so I can let my dealer know NOT to rip my dash apart.
Thanks!!!

So yesterday I spoke with the Suzuki rep in my area about meeting up to check what's going on with my paint. I also asked if he could check the stero system and the turn signals as well and he said they would fix my turn signals (by adjusting the length of them with their computer) and that he would just order me an amp since he thinks that is the issue going on with it and because there is a TSB on it. I am really happy! Two problems fixed and one....huge...paint problem to go. At least I'm actually meeting with someone employed directly by Suzuki, it makes me feel like they're actually listening to me and my concerns
Thanks for the info on the TSB... I called my dealer a couple weeks back and they acted clueless, so I will call again today and have them specifically inquire about the "TSB". This doesn't happen often so I am hoping to avoid having to come in and "reproduce" the issue.

Is that only available on the SLS? I haven't noticed the stereo in my GTS automatically adjusting itself and I still have the Rockford stereo.

From what I can gather, it's been hit or miss but only on the RF stereos. I'm sure RF looked to save a few bucks by supplying cheaper amps, and now they will be paying the price.TheHolyGhost wrote:Is that only available on the SLS? Mine doesn't do it very often and only when I have it at volume level 18 or higher.

Sure enough, I cranked up the radio on my drive home yesterday, and I started accelerating and it got even louder. I found the AVC setting, turned it off, and it's all better now. Didn't even know I had it! It was never mentioned in the two hours I was looking over the car with the salesman.
