I did a lot of esearch before buying a Kizashi. My 3 options was Ford Fiesta S, Elantra and Kisashi S. All of them base models with manual transmission. The first two because they are new 2011 design, dealers won't give much incentives. Suzuki was offering me 4849 in rebates. So the best prices quoted were: Fiesta $13,995, Elantra $15,690 and Kizashi $14,895. Comparing the options and all the features the Kizashi gives me a lot more for the $$$.
I was hesitant to get a Kizashi because of the poor dealer network. The closest dealer (where I got mine) was an hour drive. After I test drove it I felt in love with the car. Fiesta and Elantra lack power and stability. Elantra has nice design but with so many on the roads will not make too much of a impression anymore. Kizashi wherever I go I always get people asking me about my car.
Talk me into a Kizashi!

Our wife will never consider a Hyundai in her lifetime so that was not compared. The Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Nissan Maxima were the main comparisons. The interior and features seemed to beat our neighbor's BMW. We wanted to pay straight cash, so a $40-50,000 BMW was not really considered either. We already had (and still have) two 2002 Suzuki XL-7s which were fantastic in terms of quality and had been given stupendous warranty service by Suzuki. All things considered, the Kizashi delivered a much better value and ride, with distinctiveness, and likely great quality.

Well I took a GTS out for a test drive. Right out of the dealership is a hill that climbs several thousand feet in just 3.5 miles, so it was a good test of the 4 banger. Got up to 70 pretty fast but it was 6,000 rpm the whole way up the hill to maintain that speed. Motor was loud but then again that is not your normal drive. So I would say the motor ran fine but noisy and handled great. The CVT is very similar to my wife’s' Murano LE AWD but I liked the paddle shifter in the Kisshy. I was a little surprised I could not get the back up camera in the sport pkg. and had to go to the SLS to get that. At 31k MSRP that is a lot of money for this car.
Overall I liked it but I need to look around as this is not a value car. The AWD is a must so the Elantra is out. Gonna look at the Juke and then decide. If I could get the GTS with camera this would be a no brainer.

great to drive, awesome internal features and the car looks great - I went fishing the other day and 3 people stopped to ask what type of car it was and to say it looks hot. The only issue (which I have Suzuki looking at) is my paint scratching (showing white thru very light scratching). In all, quite happy.

Have the backup radar and I certainly don't even think about needing the camera for anything else. I really enjoy the radar. If you buy, make sure you don't bang your wheels on the curb as the rim sticks out a bit and can get scratched.

The backup camera comes with the navigation - can't you get a GTS with nav?
FYI - invoice for an SLS FWD CVT with nav is 27100, and Suzuki must have huge holdbacks, because many people are buying at (some even slightly below) invoice

2011 Sport SLS with nav Black Pearl Metallic
It was the right size.
And price.
And with AWD.
And great gas mileage (I'm averaging between 26--29 MPG with regular excursions past 100 MPH).
And comfort.
And value (I have over 25K on my 2011 S AWD in less than nine months).
I understand value; I sell new Hondas.....

Anyone figure out how to run DVD while car is moving? Son wanted to watch a movie.
Congratulations on the new ride Bob!Talk me into a Kizashi!
Looks like the forum members are persuasive...maybe a kickback from Suzuki is in order?
I gotta admit, it is fun to see people looking at the car in wonderment/admiration....debadging the trunk really increases the reaction.
I don't know how I got by all these years without the Auto-dimming rearview mirror....

I know nothing about the dvd player ...
